The joint closed loop identification and control design - theoretical issues and applications

The paper considers the joint problem of closed loop identification and control design. The basic theoretical elements and notations for identification are reviewed, both in frequency domain and in time domain, with the link between these two fundamental approaches. Special attention is given to aspects of estimation under closed loop experimental conditions. The particularisation to an iterative procedure is evaluated on an example of a real plant.
