Collective effects in femtosecond laser-produced plasma

Summary form only given, as follows. The propogation of a laser pulse with J>10/sup 16/ W/cm/sup 2/ and t<10/sup -13/ sec is examined on the basis of a self-consistent system of Maxwell's equations and Vlasov's equation with regard to tunnel ionisation. The collective processes accompanying the propagation of a powerful laser pulse are studied with regard to ionisation anisotropy and turbulent heating: sharpening of the leading edge with pulses-solitons formation having much less duration than falling radiation; the molecules "ionisation explosion" with plasma trace formation having large concentration exceeding the energy density; the vortex structures generation of an electromagnetic field at microscopic turbulence with the spatial scale about 10 atomic sizes and electric field amplitude exceeding the atomic strength; the fast particles acceleration with high acceleration tempo as a result of the development of anisotropic plasma explosive instability.
