Fast and accurate event driven simulation of partly analog phase-locked loops

Simulation of phase-locked loops is a computationally difficult task since the system has widely varying time constants. In this paper we show that the computational load can be substantially reduced by applying event driven simulation in combination with explicit solutions of differential equations.
