High efficiency terahertz generation and detection in the organic nonlinear optical crystal OH1

We demonstrate highly efficient generation and detection of broadband THz pulses in the organic nonlinear optical crystal OH1. We achieved a photon conversion efficiency of 11 percent through optical rectification of 45 muJ laser pulses.
