Research on Characters of Operations in EMS Base on Clustering Techniques

EMS service is an important operation in China Post and is growing fast in the past years. At the same time, there are tremendous competitions for EMS service, which requires China Post to improve on present service based on well knowing the characters of the service. In this study, different clustering models are built by using different clustering techniques of K-means algorithm and two-step method and confirming number of the clusters as 2 and 4, then the characters of the clusters are analyzed, in particular, the general characters of the all EMS services are pointed out, finally, some advices are put forward.
