Modeling of the Pacinian corpuscle feedback loop and it's influence on postural stability

A mathematical model of the Pacinian corpuscles, a type of cutaneous mechanoreceptors that detect shear force was developed. The model results were compared to experimental data to determine if the model could accurately describe the contribution of these receptors to balance control.
