Synchronous homodyne detection of 42.8Gb/s NRZ-ASK using standard DFB lasers

We experimentally demonstrate synchronous demodulation of 42.8 Gbaud using an analog optical phase-locked loop and COTS DFB lasers having an aggregate linewidth of 2 MHz. OSNR and CD tolerance are measured.
