An advanced maintenance free aircraft battery system

This paper describes an advanced aircraft battery system designed to provide 20 years of maintenance free operation with the flexibility for use on all United States Air Force aircraft. System, battery, and charger/analyzer requirements are identified. The final design approach and test results are also presented.
