A Non-paradoxical Interpretation of the Voting Paradox

The Voting Paradox, from its nature, denies the democratic voting system, and questions a series of related theories on philosophy, politics and economics. The Voting Paradox mechanism table was depicted and Majority Rule was revealed to be the cause of the Voting Paradox by analyzing its reasoning process. Based on this analysis and our proposed Model (NMU Model), the Voting Paradox Model (VPM Method) was set up and found that three alternative plans had an average poll of 33.33%. Statistical result showed an equal consequence with no plan gaining the upper hand. The nonexistence of paradoxical voting cycle proved that "Voting Paradox" is not paradoxical. Under the ordinal condition, a statistical method to model design, with the basis that social preference order was derived from individual preference order, was explored. Combining VPM approach, the ordinal voting method to Voting Paradox is not only easy to operate, but also more scientific than the traditional voting method, which can stand for the major wills to a larger extent.
