J2 perturbation effect on the deployment of tether-assisted deorbit system

This paper provides the dynamic model of the deployment of tether-assisted re-entry system include J
2
perturbation based on Lagrange equation. Some qualitative analyses of J
2
perturbation effect on the system are given based on the dynamic model: J
2
perturbation effect will induce some offset according to the deployment track of the system. Then a mathematic simulation is provided to validate and analyze the J
2
perturbation effect on the deployment of the system in free and exponential deployment scheme. The results showed that J
2
perturbation can effect the movement of the system in-plane, but can’t induce the movement of the system out-of-plane.
