Inspiring Students to Study Independently and to Foster Team Spirit

The information development requires students have a high quality on information diathesis. In universities, teaching basic computer for students who are not major in computer science has played an important role in bringing up their information diathesis. This paper describes some teaching methods and reforms such as independent study, interactive teaching and foster team spirit inthe teaching of "Visual FoxPro 8.0 Database Programming".
