Ku-band dielectric resonator filters

The principles and results of the design of microwave Ku-band band-pass filters on dielectric resonators (DR) are discussed. Designed 7-pole filters with waveguide connectors have insertion losses less than 2.0 dB at 1.2...1.5% pass-band, 3.5...4.5% pass-band at -80 dB level and over 80 dB suppression within 1.6 GHz stop-band above central frequency. Filter sizes are 65times38times38 mm, weight-150 g (filter is made of brass).
