In memoriam Stamatis Vassiliadis (1951-2007)

Stamatis Vassiliadis, Professor at Delft University of Technology, IEEE Fellow - ACM Fellow, Member of the Dutch Academy of Sciences - KNAW, passed away on April 7th, 2007. He was an outstanding computer scientist and due to his vivid and hearty manner he was a good friend to all of us. Born in Manolates on Samos (Greece) he established in 2001 the successful series of SAMOS conferences and workshops. These series will not be the same without him. We will keep him in our hearts and we are with his family in these mournful days.
