New label processing for routing optical packets

In this paper a promising optical packet switching node concept is presented for optical packet switched networks. We developed a new label processing approach for core nodes in a subcarrier multiplexed label swapping network with advantageous implemented functionalities. We present the experimental results of the implemented node.
