Three-dimensional plasmonic nanoswitch: Extreme variation of scattering properties upon rotation

In this context, we have proposed the synthesis and design of nanotransmission-lines (Alu et al., 2006) and backward-wave nanomaterials (Alu, 2007), the optical equivalent of connecting ldquoshortingrdquo wires (Alu, 2007), combinations of parallel and series nanocircuit elements (Salandrino et al., 2007) and basic collections of nanofilters.
