Analysis of Flux Concentration Phenomena in Eddy-Current Type A.C. High Magnetic Field Generator

The magnetic field in an eddy-current type ac high magnetic field generator was numerically analyzed employing boundary element and finite element methods in order to improve the flux concentration. The effect of the construction and size of the copper plate on the magnetic field intensity due to eddy currents was investigated. Through this analysis, the optimal construction was determined for the model used.
