Simulation of resonant meander-line loaded helical slow-wave structure for a TWT

An approach to modeling a resonant meanderline attenuator of helical slow-wave structure for a travelingwave tube is presented that uses eigen-mode solver in HFSS. The dispersion, interaction impedance and attenuation characteristics of the structure in the presence of the resonant attenuator were predicted using the model and were validated against experimental results, published elsewhere. 3D-Simulation
