148 kHz-1.5 GHz Broadband CMOS Differential LNA for DRM/DAB Tuner

In this paper, a broadband CMOS differential LNA for 148 kHz~1.5 GHz DRM/DAB radio tuner is proposed, in which the channel thermal noise and the flicker noise of input MOSFET is canceled by exploiting a noise canceling technique. A lower noise figure and an excellent wide-band input matching can be achieved at the same time. It is designed with Jazz's 0.18 mum RF CMOS process. Post-simulation results show that in 148 kHz~1.5 GHz, the gain is between 11-14 dB, the minimum NF is 2.2 dB, and the IIP3 is >1 dBm. It consumes 29.5 mW under a 1.8 V supply. The core area is 0.48 times 0.19 mm².
