has been synthesized as a solution-processable potential charge transport material for organic electronics applications (Kaafarani et al., 2007). We characterize the microstructure of TQPP-[SR]
₄
in films using a combination of polarized photon absorption spectroscopies (X-ray, vis, and infrared), X-ray diffraction, and scanning probe techniques. This effective characterization strategy allowed the complete determination of crystal order and molecular orientation within thin films of this complex molecule.
