The Rectangular Power-Bus With Slits GA-Optimized to Damp Resonances

The genetic algorithm (GA) is utilized to optimize the sizes and positions of slits on the printed circuit board power-bus to reduce specified impedance peaks that are cavity resonance in the structure. The evaluation method of the problem's electromagnetic behavior is validated with the measurement, and the optimized slit power-bus is shown to lower the resonance points effectively.
