Year-end review [Editor's Remarks]

In this issue, three feature articles in foraging theory, ant colony, and artificial immune system showcase a glimpse of growing activities in biologically motivated computational models and their successful applications in industrial, business and defense. Supported technical columns in Application Note, Developmental Tool, Historic Perspective, and Book Review provide additional insights in related subjects. It has been a fun year, to say the least, to serve in this capacity. I thank the strong support from society officers, the editorial board, and most importantly readers like you who care to share with me e-mails of appreciation, support, and more importantly, ideas and comments for further improvement. We at the CIM editorial board are excited about this unique opportunity to continuously serve our membership by catering newly emerging technology of interest to our readership and by bridging the communication between volunteers and members.
