Novel Precision Homodyne Network Analyser

Methods for complex measurements of electrical signals have been known for decades. One of the best methods for fast automatic precision measurements have been the superheterodyne network analyzer which in its computer controlled and -corrected form can make impressively precise measurements. Because of the superheterodyne principle, however, the setup is complex requiring two very stable sources which can be swept over a broad bandwidth while keeping the frequency difference constant.
