A Comparison of Boundary Integral and Finite Element Formulations on the Eddy Current Problem

The eddy current problem for slowly varying fields is formulated using finite elements and boundary integral equations for the electric vector potential (EVP). The advantages and disadvantages of each method are examined. Examples are presented for the two-dimensional case. The extention to three dimensions is discussed.
