Visual Environment Application to the Analysis of the Steady State Solution of Electric Systems Containing DVRs

This paper details the application of the visual environment of the Compaq Array Viewer program to the solution of distribution electric systems containing dynamic voltage restorer devices (DVRs). The Compaq Array Viewer program allows the analysis of the solution obtained through a software code written in FORTRAN, C/C++ or Basic in a visual environment. The time domain solution is obtained with the application of the conventional fourth-order Runge-Kutta (RK4) method of integration and a Newton technique based on a numerical differentiation (ND) procedure. The numerical solutions are compared in terms of the number of cycles required to reach the periodic steady estate. The results are displayed in a visual environment using the Compaq Array Viewer program
