Set-Theoretic Volume Model Evaluation and Picture-Plane Coherence

The authors introduce a class of scan-line techniques that can be used to construct efficient algorithms for the generation of images and volume integrals from set-theoretic volume models. The approach is compared with existing methods via empirical results for two specific volume models.
