Handling knowledge in image processing libraries to build automatic systems

Automatic vision systems are needed to build industrial applications able to adapt themselves to their environment. To allow the development of such robust applications, the authors propose a software tool named OCAPI, which uses artificial intelligence techniques, to handle knowledge about components of software libraries including their goals and their proper usage. An example of a knowledge base for a pattern recognition problem is presented.<
