Some conditions on zeros to avoid step-response extrema

This note deals with the problem of extrema which may occur in the step-response of a linear system with stable real zeros and poles. The author gives a simple sufficient condition to avoid extrema using the pole-zero configuration of the corresponding transfer-function.<>
