Further details of a PC driven HF broadcast receiver for enhancing the use of the HF broadcast bands

The paper describes the concept of using the ubiquitous personal computer, to enhance the operation of an HF broadcast receiver and consequently improve the HF broadcast service as a consumer related medium. The system software described has a top-down design principle. The authors discuss automatic station selection and data search capability, channels and bands in memory, spectrum analyser and timed operation.<
