Modeling of decision making in training control

From a control theoretic point of view a training process can be understood as a control task. With respect to exercise and health, performance diagnosis is the main procedure in the closed control loop. If the problem of performance diagnosis is formulated in logic formulae, the solution has to be found in a search space where dimension increases with the number of logic formulae. It is shown that the diagnosis problem can be decomposed into a series of subproblems with rather small search spaces, if the causal structure of the process is utilised. The resulting simple diagnosis method is illustrated by an example.<
