US display industry on the edge

When an entire system can be built on the periphery of a flat-panel display, a nation's ability to manufacture those displays becomes vital to the survival of its industries. The author discusses the state of the market for this technology and emphasises the US's position in relation to the rest of the world, in particular, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Europe.
