Abstract:
We present the results of a gravitational experiment which is based on a microwave resonator. The gravitational force of a test mass acting on the resonator is measured as a function of distance. No deviation from Newton's law on a level of a few parts in 10/sup -4/ in the near range has been found and the gravitational constant G has been determined with a relative accuracy of 1.1/spl times/10/sup -4/ to be: G=(6.6719/spl plusmn/0.0008)/spl times/10/sup -11/ Nm/sup 2/ kg/sup -2/.<>
