Perception and relevance of concurrent engineering in Singapore's manufacturing industry

The paper presents findings from an empirical study to determine the general perception and relevance of concurrent engineering (CE) in Singapore's manufacturing industry. The study surveys on what constitute a conducive corporate CE environment, especially the "soft" enabling factors for CE; and identifies potential barriers to successful CE implementation in Singapore's manufacturing environment, with respect to achieving better product development performance.<
