Comparison of ferrite materials for pulse applications

Materials are the limiting factor in many pulse power projects. The magnetic materials available from several manufacturers were experimentally compared for their usefulness in high-speed magnetic field applications. This particular application is a high-speed kicker magnet for injection of 150 GeV antiprotons into the Tevatron at Fermilab.<
