Implementing service management control through object models: issues and direction

The rise of object modeling for service management control has been nothing less than extraordinary. Standards bodies and industry groups, both regional and international, have adopted the object-oriented paradigm and have made major inroads in developing object models for main areas of service management control. This paper discusses some of the issues faced in implementing object models, starting with the standards process and ending with software implementation. This discussion points out observations of the authors in approaches to dealing with these implementation issues.<
