Economics of switching fluorescent lamps

Based on side-by-side cost comparison of different switching options, including a combination of parameters based against frequent switching, it is argued that it is economical to turn fluorescent lamps off when they are not needed. Background information to explain the calculation procedures and a sensitivity analysis are included.<
