A passport to doing business in Europe: registering to ISO 9000

The impact of the new rules for the conduct of business in Europe has not yet been felt in the United States. Beginning in 1993, however, when the European Community institutes more firm and potentially restricting rules, US companies need to be aware of the changes that will be taking place. Such factors as costs, the time that it takes, and other general startup information in the registration process are addressed. The process known as third party registration is discussed, and the possibility of the registration processes being self-regulated is raised.<
