High speed ASD controlled motors replace turbines and engines for pipelines and petroleum refineries

This paper illustrates the economic benefit for utilizing high speed electric motor drives for pipeline gas compressors and for a multitude of petroleum refining compressor applications. Available electronic and motor technology is discussed.<
