Wavelets and fractals: a comparative study

Wavelets and fractals can be used as analyzing tools in many areas of sciences and engineering. However, they seem to have many areas of similarities. This paper explores these potential areas, what they are and how they can be used, at least, in a theoretical sense. Some promising results have been found and are documented.<
