Optical distribution systems for television studio applications

The major issues that affect the design of a practical, high capacity optical broadcast network for use in a television studio are examined. The emphasis is on the development of an installable rather than an experimental system. The constraints imposed by practical components are discussed and a number of novel multiple star architectures are presented.<
