Aperture coupling of electromagnetic energy to a wire inside a rectangular metallic cavity

The authors present a method based on an integral representation of the field that allows the determination of the induced currents on a perfectly conducting wire placed inside a rectangular cavity. The latter is coupled to an incident plane wave through a small aperture in its wall. The wire is parallel to the generating line of the cavity. Experimental results obtained at the Centre d'Etudes de Gramat (CEG) are in good agreement with numerical ones.<
