Frequency and time stability of GPS and GLONASS clocks

The Global Positioning System (GPS) and the GLONASS (USSR satellite navigation system) are systems which use atomic clocks in the space environment. The time inaccuracy and time instability, and the frequency inaccuracy and frequency instability, of both systems are studied. Contributing to the investigation are the frequency offsets, the frequency drifts, and methods of estimating these states as seen through clock noise, measurement noise, and uncertainties associated with other relevant system parameters.<
