The breakdown of metal insulator granular system for obtaining of dielectric with anomalous high value of dielectric constant

A novel way of obtaining composite material with dielectric properties is presented. The material is manufactured by means of the breakdown of a conducting metal-insulator granular system. This material has high values of dielectric constant, epsilon ' approximately 10/sup 3/-10/sup 6/, in the frequency range f<10/sup 11/ Hz and exhibits the properties of so-called quasi-critical systems. The formation and dielectric properties of the system are studied both by computer simulation and experimentally.<
