Difficulties on the estimation of the thermal structure function from noisy thermal impedance transients

The thermal structure function permits to have an insight in the thermal pathflow of electronic components. In this work the sensitivity to noise of this technique is analyzed. For this purpose, a homogeneous slab of material is considered, since for this case the exact time constant spectrum is known.
