Experimental investigation of multimode fiber bandwidth requirements for 5.2 GHz WLAN signal transmission

We investigate the specification requirements of MMF for 5.2 GHz WLAN signal transmission and show that at minimum 1400 MHz-km are required for EVM distortion <1%. Low-bandwidth 62.5 /spl mu/m MMF is not suited for this application.
