Cyclostationarity-based parameter estimation of wide-band signals in mobile communications

The problem of blind estimation of signal parameters of wide-band signals in mobile communications systems is addressed. It is shown that the wide-band assumption implies that a nonunit time-scale factor needs to be accounted for in the received-signal model even for moderate data-record lengths. Cyclostationarity and conjugate cyclostationarity properties are exploited to estimate the time-scale factor, frequency offset, scaling amplitude, phase shift, and time delay of the received signal.
