AP-TAX, a terminal oriented computerized dispatching system

This paper describes a terminal oriented computerized despatching system called AP-TAX. The mobile equipment, consisting of a mobile radio plus peripherals like taximeter, credit card reader, display and printer, is functionally described. The paper furthermore enlightens the data signalling on the two-way radio transmission path and gives information on the handling of data at the control centre. The paper finally decribes future extensions of the system.
