Ultrasound detection using polymer microring resonators

High Q-factor polymer microring resonators were experimentally demonstrated in ultrasound detection. They have sensitivity as high as 3/spl times/10/sup -3/ kP/sub a//sup -1/. We propose a method to form multi-element ultrasonic arrays for imaging applications.
