Completely characterizing ultrashort pulses using spectral interferometry at large crossing angles

Spectral interferometry ordinarily requires the interference of collinear beams. We measure the complete intensity and phase of pulses using collinear spectral interferometry by inserting a pinhole before the spectrometer, taking advantage of the diffracted beams.
