Robust organic molecules with high optical nonlinearities and their use in hybrid microstructured optical fibers

The nonlinear optical properties of a new class of organic molecules with extraordinarily high third-order nonlinearities are presented. Their unique ability to be sublimated without decomposition is used to insert the molecules into microstructured fibers.
