Broadband and gap-free response of a terahertz system using poled polymers

Poled polymer films are employed for terahertz (THz) generation and detection, with an observable gap-free bandwidth of /spl sim/12 THz. The bandwidth dependence on the group velocity mismatch in the polymer films is experimentally studied.
